Job description

Hiring Exercise Physiologist to work 5 days per week, 8 hours paid each day For work thru date of hire until September 25, 2027. There is the possibility of extension (pending budget confirmation)



Position: Exercise Physiologist


This is a 40 hour per week position, schedule TBD, for an exercise physiologist, licensed athletic trainer, or individual of similar background. Flexibility in scheduling is REQUIRED for night and weekend work.

Responsibilities
· Implement injury prevention strategies such as individual and group conditioning, functional assessments and body mechanics coaching.
· Health consultation


Minimum Qualifications:
· BS Degree in exercise science/kinesiology/exercise physiology or similar
· Preferred one year experience, industrial setting experience a plus
· Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions
· Active California driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:
· Masters Degree in exercise science/kinesiology/exercise physiology
· Minimum of one year experience, industrial setting experience a plus
· Advanced affinity for technology
Physical Requirements of the job:
· Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.
· Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
· Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.
· Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
· Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
· Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of dictation equipment.
· Possess fine motor skills for effective and effici ent handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.

NOTE: No candidate passes thru if they can not work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday); nor any candidate that may have a hard stop at 5pm daily. There will be occasional evening hours that will be scheduled
