This opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams within the Technology, Commercial & Industrial Market Sector, supporting Grid Solutions projects such as Substation and Overhead Transmission Line, while building critical civil infrastructure for today’s and tomorrow’s challenges. Civil Engineering Technicians contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of site development, including grading and drainage, erosion control, roadways, fencing, and underground utilities for these advanced industrial and commercial facilities. Functioning in a lead technician capacity, this position performs technical tasks requiring advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, with a focus on creating and modifying site plans, grading designs, and utility layouts using advanced techniques in industry-standard design tools such as Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation.

Job Summary

• Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor
• Applies advanced technical expertise to solve complex design challenges within a specific engineering discipline
• Contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions
• Uses digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) with standardized procedures to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables
• Provides consultation, training, and oversight to other engineering technicians to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with project standards
